Short description (25 words)
Lugnut is a car maintenance log for iPhone, iPad and Mac that reads shop receipts and dealer invoices for you, then keeps your service reminders up to date.
Medium description (75 words)
Lugnut turns a photo of a repair receipt into a complete service record. It reads multi-page dealer invoices job by job, with part numbers, labour and every tax line, entirely on the device. Reminders reset themselves when you log a service. With a Bluetooth OBD-II adapter it checks the car every time it starts, and in winter it tells you when to swap tires based on the forecast and local law. No account, no ads, no tracking.
What's different
- Reads dealer repair orders, not just till slips. Four-page invoices are split into jobs, with warranty and recall work logged at the deductible actually paid.
- OBD2 checks that run themselves. Leave an adapter plugged in and the iPhone reads trouble codes, readiness and battery voltage in the background each time the car starts.
- Winter tire timing. The 6 a.m. forecast plus provincial and national rules, such as Quebec's December 1 deadline and Germany's winter-conditions law.
- Official recalls in four countries: Transport Canada, NHTSA (U.S.), RappelConso (France) and DVSA (U.K.).
- Private by design. Records stay on the user's devices; the developer receives none of them.
About the developer
Lugnut is built by Rayn Rosnuk, a DIY mechanic in the Greater Toronto Area who wanted one place for every receipt, reminder and code reading from his own cars. It's written in SwiftUI and runs natively on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
